Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts has been named the latest spokesmodel for Lancôme and her first campaign for the brand features the new Définicils Precious Cells Mascara. The product went on pre-sale for one day on Lancôme’s website. The mascara is now exclusively available nationwide at Nordstrom and offers a creamy blend of five waxes and a short and long hair bristle brush that thickens and elongates for natural looking lashes.

In the skin-bearing campaign ad, Jacobs strips nude with a strategically placed bottle of the fragrance covering his unmentionables while laying on a silver bed. The ad is racy yet artistic as it exemplifies the arts meeting art. "Once I agreed to be the model, I couldn't see what I would wear to express this. We tried it with clothes, but it didn't work. Then Juergen [Teller, who shot the campaign] had the idea for the silver Mylar, and it all came together," Jacobs said.

Sally Hansen's Guiness World Record Attempt

Sally Hansen sought to break the Guinness World Record this week for the most amount of nails shaped and polished in one day. In efforts to support a good cause, proceeds will benefit DKMS, a bone marrow donor organization. According to stylelist.com, “everyone who attends the manicure-fest will get the opportunity to get ’swabbed’ — which entails a simple swipe inside the cheek to help DKMS find donor matches for patients with life-threatening diseases like leukemia and blood cancer.” Manicurists were on duty at the Los Angeles Central Courtyard Hollywood & Highland Center from 9am to 8pm giving complimentary manicures with Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure polish.

Natalie Portman New Face of Parfums Christian Dior

Hollywood starlet Natalie Portman has been announced as the face of the high-end Christian Dior fragrance line. It has not been confirmed if she will be the face of an existing or new parfum. This will be Portman’s first beauty campaign. According to Elle UK, [Portman] “will symbolize with grace the values of luxury and the glamour of Dior.”
